Gladys L Hoover, a former president of the Mill Creek Valley Historical Association and the founder and chairman of the Beaver Co Historical Research and Landmarks Foundation, wrote many articles on a wide range of historical topics in Beaver Co. I have scanned an article written for her column “Historically Yours”. The article identified steamboat officers who hailed from Georgetown, PA and the vessels they owned and/or commanded.
